Levite Alms' stories

On February 19, 2016, I distributed the remaining eduTab Smart Phone Toys, Pirate Booty and flyers. Maybe I haven't mentioned it before but, it isn't as simple as it seems to present "FREE" educational toys to children. One of the major factors is trust. OK, one must understand that there're many not-for-profits

scamming people out of their savings and earnings. The second thing is that being an African-American male, added with the idea that the neighborhood I'm distributing these toys in is deemed undesirable, what you get is a recipe for people to not give. People can be compelled to support anything they can fathom but with obstacles of the mind, heart and soul we are constricted. What we are taught in ignorance blinds us to the very core of our souls. Knowledge of dishonest acts carried out by foundations has made it difficult for anyone to trust any. The majority of people throughout the world have given into the propaganda that, African-American or black people, especially black males, are untrustworthy, unreliable and lack a moral compass. True, there are many black people who are void of moral decency; the same as there being many people of all other races who are void of the same. The parents/guardians of these children feel they can help them circumvent danger. These adults are understandably hardened and leery of a stranger offering aid to their children. They want to be considered sound guidance to their young ones but, no one chooses to be inquisitive about my purpose for trying to give. Well, at the end of the day, everything is a chance or risk without surety. Even if you give to a person you think is in need there's always the concrete evidence missing which, answers that important question. Is this individual really in need or is this a scam? When Levite Alms gives, we wrestle with the same question. Still, that doesn't deter us from aiding the needy. We've realized that we must display prudence in the midst of our movement but, we are faultless when someone has taken advantage, of us wrongfully. We've done a good in God's eyes. Try your best to do and be good before the Lord!
